How to Write a Great Listing Description
1. Lead with the strongest feature
Open with the one detail that sets the property apart — a renovated kitchen, a skyline view, or a prime location. Buyers decide in seconds whether to keep reading.
2. Be specific, not generic
"Quartz countertops and custom cabinetry" beats "updated kitchen." Specific details are more credible and more memorable.
3. Mention the neighborhood
Buyers are buying a lifestyle, not just a building. Reference nearby schools, parks, restaurants, or transit to paint the picture.
4. Keep it 150–250 words
MLS systems often truncate long descriptions. Aim for 150–250 words — enough to inform, short enough to read in under a minute.
5. End with a call to action
Close with urgency: "Schedule your private showing today" or "Won't last at this price." Give buyers a reason to act now.
